The new Covid-19 variants also cause blood clots (the only difference between the variants is the spike proteins by which this virus enters the human cell). By UPTODATE: "if thromboprophylaxis is used in an outpatient setting, UpToDate suggests a regimen such as rivaroxaban 10 mg daily for 31 to 39 days." This recommendation is for patient with a high risk of thrombosis.
