Get help...: You don't say how long ago you got the antibiotic or describe what the dentist said. My advice would be to go see a periodontist. They deal with guns and bone. If an infection were present the antibiotic would take care of it but you have to find out the cause and treat the bone loss.

Bone infection: Antibiotics will help slow the spread of infection, but disease will come roaring back as soon as you have finished the course of the antibiotic. 28 is young to have the type of problem you describe. Would suggest that you consult with a gum/bone specialist, a Periodontist, for appropriate care.
