A member asked:

There are reports that covid-19 may induce myocarditis or pericarditis. if you have had myocarditis/pericarditis previously, are you more vulnerable to contracting it a second time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: If your heart function has completely returned to normal from prior episodes of myocarditis, there is no reason to think that it should make you vulnerable a second time. If the original reason for the myocarditis is not fixed, however, then you could be at risk.
