A member asked:

Can you still get pericarditis a year after receiving the pfizer covid vaccine, a friend received hers last march and is now in the hospital with this? could it still be from this vaccine or has too much time passed? what are the symptoms to look for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is not plausible that this could develop from the vaccine so long after receiving it, but symptoms would be chest pain and shortness of breath. For more information see https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/myocarditis.html
