29, pcod patient.can i take anaroxyl tablet (adrenochrome monosemicarbazone) to stop lengthy and heavy bleeding? i would like to know side effects if i take it every month. will it cause harm? i face either lengthy,heavy bleeding or no period.

Better method: Heavy bleeding in PCOD can be relieved by starting on an oral contraceptive pill that uses Estrogen and Progesterone to change your hormone levels and regulate your periods with very mild or no side effects. Anaroxyl may control the bleeding, but the side effects including bronchospasm are significant. Also, long term use of Anaroxyl tablets has not been studied.
