Harm: A low bmi can mean that you don't have a lot of estrogen. It sounds like you have heavy bleeding, so you may be Progesterone dominant and not enough estrogen to stabilize lining of uterus to have normal cycle. Low bmi also put you at increased risk bone loss. Why not eat healthy? Do you have an eating disorder? There are great therapists if that is the case, see one, get some help.
