Your doctor: Talk to the doctor who ordered the test. It is not a do it yourself matter. Wish you good health!

Raised ALT: The ALT is raised most often from liver stress/ inflammation. It can also be raised from kidney or heart problems. The liver stress commonly occurs from fatty liver, alcohol, and medications, In order to understand this entire picture is needed to speak to your doctor. A common first test to evaluate the liver is an ultrasound.
