My alt enzymes have been elevated for 7 months know, range 109-139. all regular tests and hep tests have been done. i dont feel well, should i go for liver biopsy or hormone tests?

Liver bx last resort: Fatty liver, resulting either from alcohol use or from nonalcoholic fatty liver disease , is the major cause of mildly elevated aminotransferases.. Non-invasive serological tests and imaging procedures may often reveal the most common causes of mild elevations .ALT is usually greater that AST, making the AST:ALT ratio <1.Good Hx & P/E should be done. In your case US Abd./Liver should be done.
