Keeping a food diary, where you list all things eaten & drunk each day for 3-7 days, can help you get a handle on how much you are eating, & areas you can decrease portion sizes & unhealthy snacks. Walking a mile uses about 100 calories so you can decrease calorie intake plus use more calories for a net loss of weight. Slow & steady best

Commit: To lose weight insure that calories burned exceed calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water /day. Try for 8 hrs of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 of fruit per day. Use whole grains. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.
