What is a specific blood test for pneumonia along with a cxr?

No one test: Pneumonia diagnosis is based on CXR findings, identification of a causative organism , and by ruling out other causes of symptoms, e.g., heart failure. It is not a do it yourself issue.

Pneumonia: A cbc and differential cell count, blood cultures and procalcitonin level are often helpful in differentiating a viral from a bacterial pneumonia.
