When being diagnosed with pneumonia how do you distinguish the pathogen, are there blood gas testing done sputum test urine antigen. only had a chest x-ray that said possibly pneumonia?

Pneumonia : For finding the pathogen in infectious pneumonia blood cultures and sputum cultures are used with blood immunology and/or urine studies used as well for specific pathogens. Not all cases of pneumonia are infectious.
