Terrible chills, soaking sweats. have normal cbc, cxr, metabolic panel. flu test neg. blood cx neg so far (24 hours). have had 3 days. only other symptoms is cough. any thoughts? how long chills?

Probable UTI: The symptoms to me sound like a kidney infection. Make sure that that is evaluated and has not been ignored. Otherwise i will leave other comments up to my internal medicine colleagues who i'm sure will have other input.

Chills,soaking sweat: You may have pneumonia even though you have a negative chest xray. Sometimes the pneumonia on xray develops later than clinical symptoms. Blood cultures are in order.
