Talk to your Dr.: A total cholesterol level is normal if below 200 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL). LDL (low density lipoprotein) cholesterol levels should be less than 100 mg/dL. Your number were normal. Your doctor should be able to tell you what your HDL (high density lipoprotein) level was.
