Recent non fasting blood tests show serum cholesterol 4 mol/l hdl1.4 hdl ratio 2.9 triglycerides 1.3 calculated ldl level 2.1 se non hdl 2.6 mol/l im taking 40 mg of atorvastin which seems a lot. would quite like to reduce to 20mg? are these good?

Your numbers are good with the current atorvastatin dose. If you have diabetes mellitus and or coronary hear disease, you should continue the same dose which is not a maximal dose. If you do not have DM and/or CAD, you can try a lower dose, 20 mg, and have the lipid panel repeated after 3 months.
