Not sure: You have a condition called hematuria (blood in the urine). The most common cause is a urinary tract infection. Other causes are kidney stones and tuberculosis. More serious causes are sickle cell, IgA nephropathy or thin basement membrane disease. Suggest you should see your primary care doctor as your hematuria is persistent.

However, hematuria might be a sign of serious diseases like bladder or kidney cancer. Hematuria has to be investigated by a urologist.

See your PMD or uro: Blodd can be in the urine for many different reasons including infections, stones, bladder cancer, and kidney cancer. Your physician will obtain the necessary lab and radiologic testing that is required. A urologist will perform a cystoscopy. This testing should be done as soon as possible.
