A member asked:

Diagnosis: pap test and colposcopy-cervical ecteopian cin1. non-invasive precancerous tissue. i am 25 years old and the doctor said to wait 12 months before the repeated tests. i stopped smoking. is there probability that it will turn into cin2?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It could: It could and that is an important reason to have repeat PAPs as advised by your doctor. It is good that you gave up smoking. You should get HPV vaccine to prevent infection with other strains of the virus. Wish you good health!
