A member asked:

Hello doctor: i take b-12 injections. my pa wants me to come in for blood work to renew my rx but i don't want to go near a doctor's office while i'm not sick, especially now. are sublingual b-12 supplements effective for those without intrinsic factor?

Yes: Multiple studies run in the 1990’s have shown that sublingual B12 achieved results comparable to intramuscular administration. That will not replace the need for bloodwork that might be useful in a broader context. Many offices have now curbside availability for that reason.
