A member asked:

I eat ice a lot.doctor said that i have low red blood counts. can i just keep on eating ice but take supplement for iron deficiency? would that works?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Enjoy your ice: People who are iron-deficient tend to like to eat ice. I was skeptical until I discovered myself developing a sudden fondness for ice-eating, checked my labs and found that over-zealous blood bank deposits had depleted me. You need to take your iron supplements and you need to find out why you're iron deficient. Best wishes.
