Obscured Ovary: Sometimes during a pelvic abdominal ultrasound the ovaries can be obscured by the bloated bowel. However, this is a rare case when the ultrasound is done trans vaginally as the bowel rarely gets in the way especially when the examining table is tilted head down.(Trendelberg position). If the stomach pain is confirmed by your MD to be from the intestine then further investigation may not be useful

Not "a big concern": Even if your sonographic exam was performed by an experienced certified sonographer, it is not unusual not to"find a left ovary". That "does not mean cancer." If the follicles on your right ovary were clear, thin walled...there is no cause for alarm. A consultation/evaluation by a gastroenterologist may help answer your concerns and offer you some relief from pain and from bloating.
