I have diazepam (2 mg) for episodic panic attacks but i rarely use it. since the last time i used it i was also prescribed nortriptyline nightly (20mg). are they okay to take together?

Category C: Your therapy needs to be monitored as they are both nervous system depressants. You should not get your prescriptions from more than 1 physician and in case you do, they both should know about drugs prescribed by the other.

Need f/u: It would be best to set up time to talk with your prescriber. Both meds helpful, but really need ongoing monitoring and also would benefit from counseling, PCP should be able to help
