Discuss with DR: Hello. I hope that you are working hand in hand with your prescribing provider. Lexapro (escitalopram) can sometimes have less side effects than Prozac -so that is an option you can discuss with your physican. F you stop Prozac or other ssri's cold turkey it can cause discontinuation syndrome. Take care.

Withdrawal?: Prozac (fluoxetine) can have some withdrawal effects if it is not weaned. The other possibility is that the anxiety that you took it for is coming back. There are other antidepressants that can be better tolerated. Explore different antidepressants.

Combined issues: Your original symptoms could be recurring, now that you've stopped prozac (fluoxetine). Also although it's a long-acting medication and has some self-tapering properties because of that, Prozac (fluoxetine) can still cause discontinuation symptoms in some people. Third, i don't know how much diazepam you're taking, but it can cause dizziness too. Please contact your doctor & let him/her help you with this.
