Low vitamin B12: Pernicious anemia is a condition in which the body is unable to absorb vitamin B12 through the stomach due to loss of a protein called intrinsic factor in the stomach. Treatment invovles replacing b!2 through injections or nasal sprays- taking oral pills is ineffective.
