I went to the doctor with a cough and he suggested it is flu and i should not take antibiotics. however today i just could not take it and took a pill of azythromicin i had at home.the cough went away completely and i feel better. how could this be?

Coincidence: No single pill of any antibiotic is going to cure a bacterial bronchitis/pneumonia. We are quite aware that a significant amount of a patients response to any treatment is placebo effect. If you want to believe your self diagnosis/treatment had value feel free to do so. I am glad you feel better, whatever the circumstances.
