I went to my doctor last thursday with terrible cough, achy feeling and low grade fever. tested negative for flu. diagnosed with sinus infection and given hydromet syrup for cough. also given prescription for azithromycin if it got worse. got that filled

Sinus infection: Sinus infections can sometimes be challenging to get better. Here are some suggestions. Take the prescribed medicines you outlined. If you are still having symptoms after completing the antibiotics, contact your doctor as you may need additional medicine. Other things you can do including saline rinses, humidifier, nasal decongestants, nasal steroids among others. Saline rinses are effective.
