My daughter of 2 years old was at our gp on wednesday and was foubd that she has tonsilitis. she is coughing quite badly at night and vomiting up slime. is this normal with the diagnoses or should i contact my doctor or go to er.

Call your doctor: I would recommend that your daughter be rechecked. Your note doesn’t say whether or not she was treated with anything or if it was viral. I’m also not sure of how many days ago she was last seen. That information would factor in on making a decision. It doesn’t sound like you need an emergency room visit unless she develops difficulty breathing or high fever.
