It's time to...: Time to see the pediatrician again. Mild tonsilitis should cause mild symptoms. If a child's symptoms seem out of proportion with the diagnosis, then either the child has an unusually bad case of whatever the initial diagnosis was, or the child has an additional disorder and diagnosis that is causing the usual symptoms. In either case, her doctor can recheck and make recommendations.
