A member asked:

Does the covid-19 disease progress differently in children, adults, and the elderly?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In some ways: COVID-19 is more virulent, on the average in proportion to age, so the elderly are more at risk to be seriously ill or die from the infection, so they usually have a more intense and severe progression than younger adults, adolescents, and children
