45 isn't elderly.: Over age 65 is a higher risk group - especially if combined with underlying conditions like diabetes, cancer, kidney or lung disease, hypertension, obesity, immunity issues etc. There isn't 1 # that can be quoted for mortality rate. Worldometer for New York City until 14 APR showed 23.1% of COVID deaths from ages 45 to 64. But only 59 of 1,581 deaths were in people without underlying illness.
