A member asked:

After infection with the sars-cov-2 virus, how long does it take for someone to get symptoms of covid-19?

2-14 days: Incubation period is 2 to 14 days. So , symptoms would show up 2-14 days after you catch the virus if it shows up. Sometimes you get infected but you are asymptomatic and you still shed the virus via respiratory droplets, by breathing and even talking against to someone.

Incubation: “The typical incubation period is about 5 days. About 97% of the people who get infected & develop symptoms will do so within 11 to 12 days, & about 99% will within 14 days.” REF: https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/04/01/824903684/the-science-behind-a-14-day-quarantine-after-possible-covid-19-exposure
