Have had a lump in my upper/outer butt area that doctor says is a lipoma.sometimes its very easy to feel and on the surface but other times i have a hard time finding it or cant feel it at all.is this typical for a lipoma?been same size for 3 years

It may be: Your description points to a benign condition. It may also be a cyst such as an epidermal cyst which can get larger or smaller. To alleviate your worries, you could see a surgeon for possible excision.
