A doctor has provided 1 answer

Labor w/o pain ?'s: Silent dilation of the cervix as described may rarely occur, and it does give concern for future pregnancies if such occurs prior to 35-36 weeks, causing prematurity in the fetus. With your next pregnancy, your OB physician may recommend what is called a "circlage" procedure to prevent silent dilation and premature birth.
