How can a dr tell if a complex ovarian cyst is potentially getting smaller based on the description from the ultrasound? just found out i have a 1cm on right ovary.

Ovarian cysts: Many simple ovarian cysts recede on their own, but complex ones may require biopsy. Since your cyst is small and, I imagine a ca 125 test was ok so ultrasounds can monitor these cysts for changes in size. Your gynecologist can advise you best, however.
