About HepB tests: Results are just numbers, and have little meaning without seeing the entire picture of the patient. That said, in the US almost everyone born since the late 1980's is vaccinated against HepB, which means they should not catch it upon exposure. Secondly, HepB antigen (Ag) is positive if the result is ABOVE a threshold and negative if below the threshold. Can also check one's immunity level (HBsAb).
