Can i lh surge if no estrogen detected? is it possible to lh surge and not ovulate. fertility specialist put me on letrizole for iui, did u/s 2 days after last dose. told me did not produce follicle, 69 fsh and wont ovulate this cycle, how lh surge?

LH surge ?'s: Absent regular ovulation, the level of LH increases , and may be misinterpreted as a pre-ovulatory "surge". At age 42, an FSH of 69 is probably not going to result in ovulation. Pre-mature menopause may contribute to these test results. With a negative ultrasound to corroborate the preceding, other ovarian stimulatory methods may be indicated.
