Antiestrogen: Clomid (clomiphene) works by blocking estrogen in your brain and pituitary gland. This makes the hormones rise which stimulate your eggs to grow. Unfortunately, it also blocks estrogen at the cervix and at your uterine lining. This can harm cervical mucus and make your uterus less receptive.
