Tumor: A serous ovarian tumor is a common surface epithelial stromal tumor that accounts for about 1/4 of all ovarian tumors. Recurrence would depend on the grade of your tumor and if any signs of metastasis at the time of surgery.

Ovarian tumor ?'s: A "borderline" ovarian tumor may have satellite areas in the abdomen, and can actually convert to frankly malignant metastases. A "complete" hysterectomy usually indicates both ovaries and the uterus are removed, however, traces of the "borderline" tissue can be detected by some tumor markers such as I-125. Most physicians will check regularly for this phenomenon.
