A member asked:

Is it normal for a person's dominant arm to be leaner/more flexible than the non-dominant arm? i am right-handed and have noticed that my non-dominant (left) arm is flabbier/feels tighter/more tense than my right. best ways to improve the imbalance?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asymmetry-arms: It is not unusual to have asymmetry in arms based on the dominant handed side. If you are rt. handed, muscles are bigger than the other side, at the same time muscles are well toned giving a leaner appearance. The non dominant side on the other hand will be flabbier with less tones muscles and fat.It is a normal happening and if you want both of them to look similar, can try work ups like lifting wt
