Wrist: Hands and finger swelling. If this is primarily of the left wrist and you have pain from wrist up forearm associated with swelling of wrist and fingers I would suspect carpal tunnel. Hypothyroid possible or swelling of wrists secondary to edema. Blood clot possible too.

Swelling: Fluid retention can be caused by hormonal effects, excessive salt intake, certain medications, kidney,liver and heart issues. If you can't improve by reducing salt intake, consult your physician for an examination and testing.
