Hospital team: The hospital team caring for her would be in the best position to answer your question. Viral infections can become life threatening and treating with antibiotics until tests are clearly pointing towards the source for infection is commonly seen in the inpatient setting.

Hard to know: Without a full review of the testing & patient status it is hard to know if she would be safe outside a hospital setting. Antibiotics at that age are routine until the docs make sure the kid did not get deadly germs from the mother during delivery. Talk this over with the treatment team.
