What are triglycerides? triglycerides

Type of cholesterol: Avoiding sugars and starches can lower triglycerides. Losing weight helps. Since a person has to eat something, if he avoids sugars and starches, that means he will be eating more proteins. Also, avoid the bad fats in foods, but getting Omega-3 fatty acids is ok. Regular exercise lowers triglycerides too. One's doctor can make sure there is no hypothyroidism, pre-diabetes, or metabolic syndrome.

A type of fat: Triglycerides (TG), chemically are three fatty acids attached to a molecule of glycerol. We need some TG for energy. Cooking oils are mostly triglycerides. Unsaturated TG are better than saturated TG. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
