Numbers are just...: Numbers are just numbers. Without details and the whole picture, such as why was labwork done, numbers cannot tell much. The result value in this question is a lipase level, which is usually from a blood sample. If the lab's reference range is 22-51, that means 95% of healthy people are in that range, and 5% of healthy people are outside that range. Time to ask the ordering doctor details.
