All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the results you provided are not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!

Hi there! I just had a pancreatic enzyme test done and the results are low on amylase and lipase (Amylase 10 units, and Lipase 3 units). I had an abdominal CT scan and ultrasound performed, but everything appeared normal. Should I be concerned?

Amylase was 208 U/L (ref range 31-110) and lipase was 253 U/L (ref range 13-78). CT of pancreas was normal but have symptoms like nausea, fatty stools, fatigue and weight loss with extreme thirst. Could it be chronic pancreatitis instead of acute?

Acute pancreatitis 3 years ago and havent had a drop of alch. since diagnosis. Recently went I got tests on my pancreas and my lipase came back 13 based on 16-63 range & amylase came back 39 in 2-125 range. Looking for 2nd opinion on results?
