What causes low lipase levels on blood test? Lipase 7 IU/L (range is 15-60) Amylase 38 IU/L (range is 28-100) Would this cause symptoms?
My blood tests showed normal levels of amylase (81) and lipase (26). Comp metabolic panels are all in range. However, CT scan showed chronic inflammation on the pancreas tail and body. Is this a good indication of pancreatic cancer?

If I drank alcohol the day of a blood test, could it raise my lipase levels slightly? Result was 80 - reference goes to 60. I've had normal ct since.
