It comes out: If it is a loose baby tooth, it comes out just like the other 19 baby teeth. As a child gets older, her permanent teeth grow out and push her baby teeth out. The incoming teeth push on the roots of the baby teeth, making the roots shrink away, leading to loose teeth that are easy to remove by the parent, the doctor, or the dentist.

Dentist: most probably it is a baby tooth. If it is loose, it would fall off by itself. If it is painful, it needs to be extracted. This would allow proper eruption of the respective permanant tooth.
