Ibs dx 30 years ago. loose stools every day now diarrhiea 1 day every week or two only a m. incomplete due to diverticulosis colon and barium done a c scan showed diver no inflammation.does aging affect ibs? normal blood work. take metamucil daily

Unclear question: Age does affect colon function and bowel habits, with or without IBS. It is good that you are under medical care and have had screening examination done for polyps.
