Unclear question: Age does affect colon function and bowel habits, with or without IBS. It is good that you are under medical care and have had screening examination done for polyps. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
