Why do i keep finding mucus in my stool? sometimes its a lot and sometimes i dont find any. this has been going on for several months now. should i be worried? could i have colon cancer? ibs?? im 21 years old.

Any symptoms?: Do you have any symptoms, other than your impression of mucus in stool? Have you lost weight? Colon cancer at your age is highly unlikely unless there is family history of early onset colon cancer. The information you provided is not diagnostic of any disorder. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

I am alternating between pebble stools and normal stools all week, sometimes on the same day. Had a digital rectal exam in February and nothing was found. Otherwise, I feel fine. IBS? Colon Cancer? Should I be worried?
