When i look under my tounge i stick it side to side to see to see the floor of my mouth and sometime my tounge twitches what causes this? should i be worried? it only does it when i do it side to side.

Twitching tongue: An electrolyte problem of some sort would likely explain an issue like this. Either Magnesium, Calcium or potassium. Other possibility would include a fascial palsy. Causes could be lyme disease, Guillan-Barre Syndrome, Herpes simplex or zoster, otitis media, mastoiditis, temporal bone abscess, traua, intracranial lesions- tumors, avm.
