I'm 25, female. I have a severe phobia of ALS. I had ENMG and lots neurologists checked me, but now Im afraid of bulbar form,I focused on my tongue and it started twitching and my tongue and mouth are tense, I have trouble spaking.others don't see it?
Had emg of left arm and right leg yesterday, showed no abnormalities.I been twitching for 4 years. would emg have shown anything if I had bulbar als. The twitch is on the tip of tongue and happens after flexed or touched.Blood work, thyroid normal. ?

My tongue gets twitches/tiny spasms at the tip, while at rest. Its been happening for 3+ months a couple times per day. No weakness or other issues. 28 yr old male. Can these ever be benign, or do they always indicate something more serious like ALS?
Why do so many sources on the internet suggest that tongue twitches always mean als?
