Traumatic nail : Discoloration of the nail is actually underneath the nail caused by bleeding or bruising of the nailbed if it is not infected by now three days after the injury chances are that the area has not been exposed you might get a new nail to grow or this one mightReattach itself to the nail bed if nail becomes loose as it grows out place a Band-Aid over the nail to protect it
