Complete resolution?: If you have systemic disease, diabetes, clotting disorders, malignancies, etc., consult with your GP. If it is an ingrown nail, is it infected? Your doc may start you on soaks and/or antibiotics. Part of the nail is under the skin, and grows from the matrix. In many situations the portion is removed surgically in the office, and a chemical applied, destroying it. Be aware that it may return.
